I'm attempting a seven minute post with a sweet girlie sitting in my lap. She is all about sitting up these days (not on her own yet of course) and last night she was SO close to rolling over on her own! It seems like this growing up stuff is all going so fast!
Sorry to not have updated about the wildfires. It was a tough time for our community but thankfully the fire is now under control. People, including the family from our church who lost their home are beginning to pick up the pieces and figure out where/how to go on from here. They could still use your prayers.
Unfortunately there are still several wildfires burning in Colorado right now and the smoke does affect us some. The man who shared thoughts around communion during church yesterday shared something extremely interesting.
I knew that huge planes are used to drop fire retardent on the fires but what I didn't know is that the tiny 10th of an inch (I believe) of rain that God sent down on Friday of the week the fire broke out equalled many, many, many (I think maybe thousands) of drops by that airplane. Amazing! God is SO much bigger than us!
Let's see what else is going on . . .
well, Google Reader is going away and I think many of you used it to read my blog. I'm actually not really sure how many of you are still reading.
Throw out a comment if you don't mind just to say you're still around.
In other news,
this is my birthday week! I love birthdays!
Oh, seven minutes are up and my arm is covered in drool . . .
last tidbits . . .
David is trying to fit into the bumbo seat.
Adrian has been putting a new roof on our house and he is almost done!!! So excited!!
I think Cora's ready for a diaper change . . .
exciting times
let me know if you're still around
Have a great day and a great week!
Kelly

I'm still around, but sporadic :) I like catching up with your blog when I can, though! Not sure what I'll do after July 1 when Reader goes away....should ask JT :) But summer school + broken arm + packing to move + planning trip to London in July = not sweating the little stuff!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading! I switched to Feedly. It is different, but I am slowly getting used to it. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Week! Glad to hear an update.
ReplyDeleteStill here too (although currently reading on reader) I moved my stuff to Wordpress. Not as compact but seems to work ok. FYI we are headed to the land of Christmas tree shops in early July so your birthday present is just going to have to wait! Thanks for the update. You packed a bunch in to 7 mins.
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean about growing up too fast! It seems that Finley is insistent on hitting each and every milestone earlier than her siblings. She's started rolling over in both directions...what in the world! And she's cooing and grabbing every thing in sight. It breaks my heart, because she's our last and I was hoping to savor this baby stage for as long as possible. She is still sleeping like a newborn, up every two to three hours, but that's the one baby item I would prefer to leave behind :)
ReplyDeleteStill reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm here now and again... I don't visit the bloggy-interweb-neighborhood very often these days but when I do I buzz by to see what you've been up to!
ReplyDeleteStill reading! And I use Feedly. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought that was an interesting fact that Craig mentioned on Sunday too! God is good :-)
ReplyDeleteHere is the info that Craig was referring to. Pretty incredible!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome little bit of trivia from (7news) thedenverchannel.com
7NEWS Meteorologist Matt Makens said the amount of rain over the fire area was about a tenth of an inch.
"It's not a lot, but a blessing. That's 42.6 million gallons of water that fell on the assumed 15,700 acres of fire area. That's roughly 3,672 DC-10 drops, assuming that a DC-10 can drop about 11,000 gallons each time," Makens said.
Happy Birthday week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still here. Love your posts. Rolling over almost--oh my goodness, I just saw her yesterday.
ReplyDeleteStill here! Love the update! Praying for your community.
ReplyDeleteMicaela
i'm here!! Love to get your updates!
ReplyDeleteStill reading, my friend. And so thankful you were not terribly affected by the fires.
ReplyDeleteYour kiddos are beyond adorable.
Oh, and you know I ALWAYS think about you on your birthday, as I was praying my firstborn would be born on your birthday...12 years ago!!!
ReplyDeleteI am still here, but I need to find another reader to keep up! Yeah for the Birthday week!!!!
ReplyDeleteI still read! But I don't use any readers. I should probably find one and starting using it. Happy Happy Birthday!!! I wish we could have a sleepover with fondue to celebrate, like we did way too many years ago. :-)
ReplyDeleteStill reading! I've been using Feedly and it's pretty good. A few annoying things, but okay. Had a great time with you!
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading (via feedly now), although I get behind a lot. Thinking of y ou and your Cora!
ReplyDeleteThis post is truly inspirational. I like your post and all you share with us is up to date and quite informative
