15 more days . . .

Are you experiencing the joy of the season?

Are you feeling stressed out?

I'll admit to having a couple of stress meltdowns the last couple of days.

I'm trying to pray through it and as Elizabeth Elliott advises, "just do the next thing".

Also wanting to count my blessings like the fact that my principal's Christmas gift to us is letting us leave early the rest of this week and next and yesterday they had a chocolate fountain in the teachers' lounge for us.

How are YOU doing? What are some of your blessings, large and small?

You guys are the best commenters! I don't tell you that enough but especially with all my baby questions, you ladies rock out on the commenting! Thanks!!

Have a joy-filled day! Kelly

I am so blessed and Thankful that we are able to spend so much time with our friends near the holidays. I stress out about getting ready and making the plans etc, but the time is so special. Some of my fondest memories are from holidays. I am also so greateful that so many people are so focused outward, it's really fun to be able to plan fun surprise things for other people.

Love the quote you mentioned by Elisabeth Elliot! I say it to myself often...and probably need to today! Thanks for the reminder!

Love that quote - never heard it before. A chocolate fountain would be stress relieving, for now. And I wish our principal would let us out early.

I am glad we have no more shopping to do! Woo-hoo! All wrapped and ready to roll.

Well, this is crazy but here goes...for some weird reason I was reading all the comments from last year's Christmas re-cap post and you had left me the sweetest comment. So I just had to pop over to get re-aquainted. I see that you're expecting a new little one. Congratulations!!! That should make your Christmas extra special. : )
Take care,
Mary Lou

It blessed me to read your blog this morning! I am totally in stress-mode right now, which I don't recall ever dealing with at the holidays before. I am typically very organized with my holiday stuff--well, not this year.

However, your post just gave me a renewed energy and sense of peace.

Thank you, Lord, for speaking through my sweet friend, Kelly!
