flying the flag

But... the short frenzied burst of fireworks are always a necessity on the forth.

I can't find your old post discussing Anne of Green Gables, but thought about it over the weekend. The kids and I were at my mom's house. Hannah found my mother's 5dvd set and decided she wanted to watch it. (She woke up early and the boys and I were still asleep.) So she loved it. She wanted to keep watching but we had other plans for the day. She also kept wanting to skip around, yet asking what happened before. So we had the conversation about not skipping around (in movies OR books) so you understand it fully and can enjoy it more. Anyway, she loved it and my mother gave her the set as part of her birthday present. So she is the thrilled new owner of the Anne series on DVD. Also, first thing this morning when she woke up, she asked permission to go into my book closet and get out the Anne series. She told me her goal is to read half of the series today. :-) She won't manage that with our other plans, but not a bad goal for a newly 9 year old! :-) Just thought I would share!
