Travel Tuesdays - New York City

green benches for sitting and snapping photos

fun, huh?

These were taken back in 2006. My friends Jenni, Jenny and I went to NYC for a fun girls trip. One of them took the photos but I'm not sure which. :)
Do any of you know what this place is called in NYC where these green benches are?
Maybe Columbus Circle. I have forgotten.

What is your favorite place to go in NYC?

The benches were down by the courthouse, federal building, etc area. Don't remember exactly where that is, but it also has been featured in shows such as Law and Order that are set in NYC.

Favorite place--double decker tour bus on a spring day! One of my favorite memories! And of course, Serendipity.

I would just love to go see my brother and sister-in-law, and catch my brother's show.

My favorite place in our whirlwind (less than 24 hours) trip was Rockefeller Center at Christmas, when the tree is up...absolutely breath taking.

Well, Jenni already officially answered your question, but I remembered those benches, too. That area is called Five Points (I believe there are 5 streets that converge - but I remembered it because it was the historical setting for the movie "Gangs of New York" - where their rumbles happened. :) My favorite place - any theater on Broadway!!

I never answered your "favorite place" part of the post.....I loved skating in Bryant Park, echo Sarah's love of a good show on Broadway, the carousel in Central Park is pretty fun too....basically, I just love the city....

I knew those weren't from Columbus Circle! I live in NYC and have actually never seen them. Guess it's pretty obvious I don't get further south than Soho very often huh? My favorite place in Manhattan? West Village, Hells Kitchen restaurants, Soho and basically anywhere except Times Square. :-)
