see-saw

A few weekends ago we decided just to drive out of town. Sometimes we like to get out of the city and explore small towns around us and drive on country roads.

We stopped at a playground with our little man.

It was a wonderful playground, no plastic and wood chips in sight. :) I mean, I guess those things have their place and all but this was a playground like I remember from when I was a kid.

Our little one seemed to like the see-saw . . . or do you call it a teeter-totter? Or something else? I'd love to know your name for this playground equipment. Oh please do tell and let's see which name gets the most votes. :)

Okay, is it just me, or is the little man turning into a chunky monkey?

I say if it's attached to a swing-set, then it is a teeter-totter. If it is stand-alone, like the one at the playground, it is a see-saw. Just a thought...

Always a see-saw. :-)I wonder if it's a locale thing - like northern or southern call it different names? Don't know, but to me it's a see-saw. AND mostly I ADORE those little baby toes! I LOVE watching the way babies move their toes. :-)

Either one is super fun to say! I remember calling them both names.

I remember calling them by both names too. And I don't know that there was a rhyme or reason for why I used one name over the other.

Definitely a see-saw. That's such a fun word to spell.
What a precious little guy in this picture.
