I saw this at Canton (a huge flea market near here) and thought it would be neat for a dining room table. How fun would it be to store cloth napkins and silverware in those drawers? I didn't like the chairs and it wasn't in all that great a condition and the price wasn't quite right, but wouldn't something like this be great for a table?
What is your "dream dining room table"? Have you found a great dining room table secondhand or turned something you've found "junking" into a dining table?

My dining room table was an ebay find. It is a huge antique Amish harvest table with a drawer for each person. One of my favorite pieces!!

Love the table too, I love drawers in anything, lol! I want a table with big ole chunky legs and drawers in it! I want to find the perfect one to redo!
We've never actually bought a dining room table, but have twice "happened upon" people about to give theirs to Good Will! I love the hand-me-down table and hutch we have now, but I would love to recover the seats. Wanna help me? I've never done that before. Sounds like a great job for my favorite crafter!

That's a grand old table -- even with the dings and dents, nothing a bit of spiffing up won't cure. I love tables with drawers in them, too -- makes me think of my grandmother's big kitchen table.
I am looking for a larger dining room table now, mine only seats 6 nicely, 8 with squeezing! I haunt Craigslist and Ebay, nothing yet that I can afford!

I love my table that we bought new. It has a parquet top finish. However, over the years it has gotten beat up and scarred. I would love to re-do it ...
